The Resistance to Homogenizing

I couldn't imagine a natural physical house that was beyond my imagination. All I could muster for some reason was a ship, like a canal boat in my head. It's funny because actually now I'm thinking about another thing that happens later on in the book where the protagonist says, expresses pride that their accent hasn't been sanded down. That it had been retained and that being in London sort of creates this general RP sound, you know. Yeah, exactly. Would you connect that thing that resistance to homogenizing? Is that a similar thing with, I guess, sounds, words, accents?Yeah, definitely. Does that take work?
