Is There a Chasm Between Software and Projects?

You can't spend that much money on your electronics. If you're making hundreds of thousands, you're not going to say, Oh, a $10 circuit Python module is a good pet. So you're going to make a custom board with a custom microcontroller and probably write all the software yourself. And then it, like, I don't have the luxury of just pushing out some update, some like software update.
