Pixy uses a hash mechanism to work around this limitation of not being able to have pre registered secrets. The user logs in, like before, does two factor outh whatever they need to do. And instead of the oot server sending the axis token back in the front channel, it still has to send something back because it doesn't have a back channel connection. What it ens is a temporary, one time use, short lived code.
