Is There a Representation of People With Experienced Mental Illness?
Not very often are people who experienced mental illness involved in the policy surrounding mental illness. They are often the caregivers when our systems are underfunded and there's nowhere else to turn. When we do hear from people with lived experience of mental health or substance use, there's often a pushback against some of these laws.
