The Power of Perfection in Hospital Medicine

When I first went into residency, I was not playing on being a hospitalist. It's been a long time since I did this kind of thinking, right? But it's fascinating to me how that type of thinking evolves for you. You needing to know a lot about a lot at the same time felt slightly like boiling the ocean all the time. So if I'm just wanting to focus on the GI tract, then at least it's still a lot of information on a lot that I need to know but it's less broad than hospital medicine.
