You always, you always want to use vector images if at all possible. Bit maps in general, take longer to read from disk and render. Resizing images down is never really a good dea and reactnative cause it can. Use thumb nails whenever possible, or maybe even some sort of a serverside image,. I don't know, i've used those in the path, like a cotilary.
