What Is the Primary Action of Faith?

Faith is supposed to be response to what God has done by grace. But they are responding to wildly different things with wildly different consequences. Your failure to believe God for new shoes does not carry the same consequences as your failure to get saved, to get born again. And yet both of them require faith. It's like the way you are.
