What Do You Want These Devices to Do for You?

Two years ago, i sat down with a list of all the devices in my life and thought very intentionally about what are each of these devices for? And so i think this is a thing that people don't really do, like they just sort of happen to let devices do whatever. But i am a big fan of artificial restrictions around devices. I'm not interested in devices that can do absolutely everything all the time.
