The Power of Prayer
In the letter to the Ephesians, Paul prays that Christians would see whatever life circumstances they're in as opportunities for growth. He doesn't pray for their circumstances. He prays that the circumstances would open up new levels of growth and maturity in them. The Christian life is about taking on a posture of hope. And hope is about having a conviction that my present circumstances don't determine the meaning of my life.
