The wallet has been around since 2000 I want to say 15 it's when the wallet came out. It was because of the user activated soft fork and people not knowing what to do, he says. The question that was asked I think Matt posted it on on Twitter about you know like hey make sure you understand the node rules and consensus as they apply to nodes too if people trust me and you more than they do being able to go in and verify.
