The Story of David and Maureen Reed

In 1963 David left school and fell into making money through burglary. A week later his 16-year-old neighbour, Pauline Reed, suddenly vanished. The eldest of seven children, she also went missing in the local area. One month later, 12-year old John killed Reed - he could not be found. Shortly after this Maureen told David that she was pregnant. Despite suffering difficult starts in life, they were keen to build a stable family. They married at All Saints' Registry Office in Manchester on August 15th 1964.
