As a director, I am in meetings a lot that help unblock the team. So I'm not coding on a day to day except for to understand the work of my team. If I was coding, I wouldn't be able to be unblocking them for escalations that I'm much more useful for. "I get burned out from only coding because it's not as strategic as I would like to be sometimes"
