Stephen Pinker says science is advancing in extraordinary ways. But do societies do the same? I notice one of the things about, I don't want to sound like I'm down on young people. They almost seem to remain led to believe that no one has gone before them knew anything. All wisdom resides in the current age. And with the cleverness on a smartphone we don't need to pay attention to history. We forgot the lessons that we should have understood about communism.
