The Ukraine's Counter-Offensive Strategy in Zaparija
The area is full of small swampy islands where setting up a defensive position is a huge challenge. Many are expecting or predicting that the Ukrainian counter offensive would come much further east south of the city of Zaparija. But the Russians have already preempted that. We've seen a lot of Russian military activity where they have seriously been gathering troops there and building a defensive line upon defensive line. It's a game of chess, isn't it?
