The Future of Agriculture

In the last decade, we've seen a real transformation in our knowledge of these crops. It just makes it trivial in many ways to sequence these crops. So I think there's a lot of potential on very simple technologies like plan breeding to improve some of the yields or the potential yields that these crops can deliver. And then, of course, for GM technologies, which really, I think it's a bit of a tragedy that they're not impacting at all on African agriculture at the moment.
