Nancy Eagelson was pulled into a car that evening as she walked home from a movie with her 5-year-old sister Cheryl. About seven hours after the abduction, two raccoon hunters found Nancy's body in a wooded area near Paulding. The murder was the first in the village of Paulding in six years. Some persons believe the crime was committed by a local man, while others wondered if the crime were committed by a crazed man traveling through the area.
