Is There Tension Between Scarfs and Women in Egypt?

In Egypt, some women are wearing scarves and others aren't. There is tension between the scarf-wearrs and the non-scarf- Wearrs. For me, for my social class, it's not at all culture but religion. And what would you say? Same. I faced a lot of opposition in my immediate circles when I started to wear the scarf.
