Why Do People Vote for More Taxation?
I want to decompose the term society, because it's very easy for us. I call this lower resolution versus higher resolution thinking. So we say, oh, if society votes for X, then X will happen. But we have to always remember that society is composed of individuals. And sometimes people that are economically dispossessed get ahold of that democratic apparatus and vote themselves money. That's like stage one in the death of a democracy.
