The UK Economic Crime Act and the Companies Act and Land Registry Act
The National Crime Agency has a much smaller envelope of agents able to bring cases, but also just far less funding per agent. They don't have the resources or the expenses budgets or anything to really investigate complicated cases. A new economic crime bill going through Parliament at the moment is supposed to solve this problem. But I am skeptical that this will be a real changer simply because there is such a long record in the UK being brought in and never being provided with the resources they need to enforce them.
