How to Backup and Restore Your Database From S3
The full database is still replicated to all of the instances of where Lightstream is deployed. The replicas, they avoid S3 entirely. They just pull straight from the primary and then everyone has their own database locally. Another thing we do with Lightstream is you can have kind of a retention policy. So it'll basically send the whole thing up and maybe do that once a day or every hour or every month if you want to.
