Is There an Appreciation for the Imperial Past?
In the 1980s Australian culture was having a real moment in British life. Has there been an equivalent marketing of say Australian wine to people in Britain based on this kind of crocodile Dundee version of Australia which is very tourist friendly? I think as a whole, I think British and Australian society are more cognizant of many of the evils of imperialism than 35 years ago.
