Is There Anxiety Around Artificial Intelligence?
I think one area that I see this heightened in is the discussions around artificial intelligence. It's so obvious that AI is seen by a lot of these people as something fundamentally separate from us, but it hides like this more subconscious fear of humanity itself. And they're like, we have to deny that you're really conscious because if we accept that you’re really conscious, then like you, we made you. So you have to be fake.
