Raja ravi varma was a social equal with many of the ravanko rajahs he met. He came from an aristocratic family, and his reputation wasn't purely based on talent but also privilege. His nephews included ailiam thrunela, op, prnounced aild, who is described by the british as conservative by temperament, but liberal by intellect. But at the same time, heis also described as a moral wreck and sexual pervert.
