Alexander and his army cross the river tigris. They rest up for a few days, during which there is a lunar eclipse. People have dated this event to around the twentieth of september, 331 b c. Alexander's army continue heading east; skirmishes start occurring between advanced forces of the macedonians and scouting forces of the persians. And in one particular skirmish, ariston, supposed very homerically, he manages to spear the leading figure in this persian scouting party.
