What Are the Goals of Labor Analgesia?
The goals of surgical anesthesia artsu take away the sensory pain just like in labor but we also want to relax the abdominal musculature. The goal is to get that baby out as soon as possible and general anesthesia is many times the quickest way to get that accomplished. In contrast when you go back to the operating room you are having a major intra abdominal operation we kind of gloss over the seriousness and the gravity of scissoring section.
