Far F-a-R Is an Interesting Word

Far, F-A-R is an interesting word. British speakers of English always use the word further as the comparative. In American English they don't change the letter A to U but add that H in the middle. So Americans say far, farther, the farthest. And British say far, further, the furthest. Be careful of the pronunciation of further F-U-R-T-H-E-R. The first vowel sound is U-R, like in words like turn, or learn, or burn. You can use it as a verb as well.
