differences of being should be distinguished according to quality. Qualities are classified as corporeal and of the soul. We must therefore leave quantity aside, and that leads us to wonder how we may divide quality itself since it is made use of to distinguish other things. By what indeed could one distinguish white from black, and colors from tastes, and sensations of touch?
