The Recession of the Republican Party

In 2014, we were running campaigns in 2014 and you saw counties that had not voted Republicans since Reconstruction. These were heavy labor rural counties where my daddy's daddy and his daddy's daddy all voted Democrat and Democrat primaries. So they registered as a Democrat just so they can vote in the local elections, but they're culturally conservative people. It's basically New York City and San Francisco calling the shots. That is the way that they view the world. Not surprisingly, you've had this mass exodus.
