The Importance of a Homegoing
I look to the black church and I think the idea of a homegoing, which is what they call a funeral. And for me, you know, as abrasive as I found it in the days after they died, when people like, Oh, but there was Jesus,. There was something about a service that you feel like you're sending them home. That we were sending them home that felt like very comforting.
