The Political Economy of Hysteria
Hydroxychloroquine is on the World Health Organization's list of essential medicine. In 2017, it was the 128th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States with more than 5 million prescriptions. So this is a well-known drug that people have been using for many years, but there's not a strong incentive for utilizing it in this kind of centrally planned collective approach to health. Philip will fill us in on his idea of the political economy of hysteria.
