Which Test Should I Automate?

Tests are guarding your features. They're the source of truth on if this works or does not work. Trying to do everything just gives you a lot more stuff to maintain and a lot of noise. A great indicator is when you have your bill fail because of some tests. And the team looks at it and like, oh, okay, we don't care. Just ignore the test. Well, why is that test there? Right?
