The Limitations of Civil Government

Bacchus saw that civil government had a role to play in that it was ordained by God. He argued from a study of the New Testament that its purview is not one that imposes upon anyone such religious actions. The citizenry or the subjects are not required to obey the will of the government when the government says, believe this or do this as an act of religion.
