Bryan: I couldn't agree more. You're going to have to find a way to be you in this world and be proud of that fact. It's not anybody's job to pick you up and carry you all the way, i think that's too much to lay on somebody else. This isn't some like, masculine thing that i'm ayin. We all have tofind a way to navigate the world in a way that we fit into it,. That we belong here, and that we deserve the entirety of the human experience, happiness, sadness, all that it has to offer, and to embrace it.

Brian Broome is a poet, screenwriter, and instructor in the Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh. He has been a finalist in The Moth storytelling competition and won the grand prize in Carnegie Mellon University’s Martin Luther King’s Writing Awards.
