The Importance of Mercy

Jesus is just being radically offensive to these guys. He doesn't give these warnings just to scold them. This is the law being pronounced in order to crush so that they might look to him for life. Their hard heartedness is beyond belief. And yet they can be saved too, even as Jesus gives these warnings.
