Laura: Lewis was a tremendous reader but I don't think that's the drawing of cultural elements into the Narnia books accounts for the, it resolves the problem of reception. Laura you noted in your book that you encountered fonts for instance for the first time if I understand correctly in Narnia and you were delighted by them. You then went on later to find their originals in you know Greek myth and things like that is actually somewhat similar to my own experience. It points to kind of transcendence there. Now I would suggest that if Lewis's stories like Tolkien's I think they resonate without needing to make the connectionYou don't need to have ever read Beowulf to think that
