The Diversity of the American West

There are African American cowboys. They're participating in Western lifestyle for probably the same reasons as anybody would having a little bit more flexibility, freedom, travel. Originally, those attributes of riding a cattle culture came from this continent's first imperial power, right? Spain and worked its way up from the south. So they all do inform one another.
