Academic Spaces Are Open to Free Speech or Academic Freedom
There have been a bunch of private institutions that have been arguing for the right to, at least on some level, maybe they're employees to either say slurs or just do very, very bigoted things and be like, oh, no, this is about freedom of speech. So obviously those are all institutions where the First Amendment doesn't actually apply because you can't use the First Amendment against private actors. I also think that academic spaces should be subject to proper citation. These things are all being couch in the First Amendment when they clearly are.
