Nick Bloom: Technology often moves faster than our attitudes. He says the last jigsaw pieces for what we're using now came in about 2010, 2011, 2012. Zoom, for example, was founded in 2012. Why we didn't adopt it in such numbers until 2020, I think was kind of slow to react as a bit of a mistake.

Nick has been studying remote work for more than 20 years – since the 1990’s, when people were “telecommuting.” His research, in real-time, looked at how events such as 9/11 shaped attitudes about remote work.
