Is There a Bias Against Women in Economics?

The bias against women is more pronounced in developed countries than in developing countries. In africa, for example, women are much more represented. But i also feel like this is just my perception, again, from the global south. I think it's not an institutional lise thing, or a systemic thing. It's just our nature.
