Is There a Social Element to Learning?

i'm always looking at how the environments in which we learn are. One example of an ivocative environment would be one in which kids feel they belong. And i think we often don't recognize how important the social element of learning is, and how important it does feel for students to feel part of a community. Carol dreck has shown that the gross minds shet can cultivated so that would be another important piece, i would think, of anivocative learning environment.
