How Did You Get to the Position of Attorney General?

When i first became attorney general in 91, crime was reaching its peak in the united states. We set up a programe to really have the federal government come in and deal with violent crime on the streets. And we need aggressive juvenile justice programs that bring accountability very early on so they don't get on the conveyer belt of becoming career criminals. In those days was all about the revolving door. You could commit a rape in a state like florida and get off t and actually serve less than two years. It was outrageous wuat was going on.
