The theory of superimposition introduced by Shankara Charya is absolutely central. All of this is predicated on Adhijasa on superimposition. The ultimate thing that we are supposed to do in life is to inquire into who am I or what am I and that will lead to knowledge of what am I. That knowledge will remove the ignorance of what I am and that removal of the ignorance will remove the product of ignorance, this mistake we call Samsara.
Adhyasa Bhashya is Adi Shankara’s introduction to the Brahma Sutras. Swami Sarvapriyananda gives a brief overview of this commentary, over three sessions.
