How to Sing a Song
"I like to get into kind of meditative rhythmic zone. I won't sit there and try to like craft architect a song," he says. "You just kind of keep doing it until you get the kind of rhythm, right? And the tone of it, right?" You can start anywhere on an instrument: "It's almost infinite in that." He has 17 different melody options for his songs; how do you know they don't come from him? It seems like it was just sort of a natural thing to happen.
