How Do We Know if Animals Dream?

How do we know whether or not animals dream? It's hard to tell in humans, right? And especially when you add barriers like language, cultural differences. What i try to do is gather as much empirical evidence as possible for thinking that other animals do have these nightly explosions of feelings and thoughts.
