Thermodynamics and the Second Law of Time
Thermo dynamics was conceived in the early nineteenth century to describe the flow of heat. It became one of the central pillars of modern physics, providing criteria that govern all processes of change. The second law appears to show why change happens in the first place - it's a law of large numbers. Many particle systems that are more disordered and have higher entrope vastly outnumber ordered, lower entrope states.
