The Tax Commissioner's Statement on the Referral to the Federal Police
The tax office was not allowed to communicate the details of the concerns that information might have leaked. Chris Jordan, the Commissioner, said it was because of secrecy provisions in Australian law. The Tax Practitioners Board issued a penalty against Peter John Collins and deregistered him for two years. It also rebuked his company, PWC.
