The History of Abu Elementary School
Abu Elementary was designed by an architect and civil defense enthusiast named Frank Standhart. He went on to design an underground shopping mall slash bomb shelter that was never actually built. The school is closed now, but kids still went to school there until 1995. One mother described the scene of kids entering the building as looking like ants lining up to go into their hill.
