The story of Calhoun's rodent utopia turned dystopia and the cautionary tale that represented for our own human future caught fire. His warnings of overcrowding and dense urban environments led to hysteria, and that study is still shared today. He died before he was able to convince the public that we weren't necessarily doomed. Despite his efforts, the story of the behavioral sink is the story that people have held onto.
