Alex Bates is the managing director at Neo Cortex Ventures, a firm bringing artificial intelligence and machine learning to the forefront of the industrial market. As an undergraduate, he performed DARPA-funded research in neural networks as well as research in memory and computational diagnostics. He co-founded M-Tel, an organization focused on harnessing sensor data from the industrial internet of things space.
