The othering effect makes the general public feel like, oh, I can't get it. Or maybe if I stop eating rice, I'll be safe. It's a very dangerous thing in our world. And that brings me back to one I'm very glad we have changed the name on. In what 40 years ago, we had grid, the gay related immunodeficiency because people thought it was homosexuals that spread this disease. They didn't realize there were a number of different ways this disease could be spread.
